Breathe easy, knowing that you can track and sense the quality of the air around you with the Air Quality Sensor with Breadboard Adapter particulate Max Furiosa definitely should have hooked up one of these in their truck while scavenging the dusty desert wilderness of postapocalyptic Australia.
Measuring is vital because of the impact it has on our health and the ability that it has to penetrate deep into our bodies. refers to particulate matter in the air with an aerodynamic diameter equal to or smaller than microns. Only by measuring can we start to understand the levels that we are exposed to and ultimately work towards fixing it and improving our air.

We have added some extra features to the breakout board, with a OLED (separately), it can display the and PM10 reading, just power it with a USB microB (Power bank, laptop USB). There is a auto report mode which enable the sensor to report the PM reading every one second.
Mar 25, 2019· I''m also trying to do this with an SDS011 and a pi xero w but can''t get the sensor to detect via USB when I plug it in. I thought the pi might not have enough power for the sensor board as when I unplug and replug the sensor USB adapter the pi reboots, but have the same problem when I plug the sensor in via a powered USB hub with a 3A supply.

Dec 14, 2014· I am trying to make a similar sensor. And so far I have tried to make one with the small Sharp Dust sensor. It comes out very noisy and unconvincing and I have decided to try the Shinyei dust sensors. The PPD42 is fairly common, but the others not so much. Please tell me where have you bought the sensors from and for how much. Thanks
